Meet The Missionaries
My name is Kelley Hogan and I grew up in Sugar Land, Texas. I graduated from Texas Tech in December 2010 with a degree in Advertising and minors in Painting and Interior Design. I am the youngest of 4 and have 7 precious nieces and nephews. I am thrilled to enter my 3rd year with FOCUS as I continue to serve as Team Director at UNC for the 2nd year. I am passionate about this mission and and honored to serve the New Evangelization in this radical way. Activities that bring me life include painting, hiking, playing soccer, country dancing, and spending time with loved ones.
My name is Jon Ervin and I grew up in the great state of Nebraska. I graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado in June of 2010 with a degree in Video production. I’m the middle child of 5 and I come from a large Catholic family. I really love playing sports and having deep discussions about life and Christ. I’m very excited to be coming back to FOCUS next year, as a 3rd year missionary. But all in all I just love Jesus, being laid back, and sharing him with others by having fun and using my gifts in video.
I’m Javier Salinas and I am 24 years old. I grew up in Aurora, IL and I was raised in the Catholic Church by my mom and dad. Mom took charge of our Catholic formation while dad handled my athletic formation. I went to St. Joseph’s Catholic School and Aurora Central Catholic High School where I played football and some other sports. I received a Bachelor’s degree from Loras College in Dubuque, IA in Criminal Justice and a minor is Business. I originally wanted to become a police officer and I spent a little bit of time interning as a Civilian Officer at a local police department before I graduated. While I was in college, I became a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and Grand Knight of my council. We did a lot of work for the Church on and around campus. Then, my senior year, I decided to become a FOCUS missionary. I still like playing pick-up games of football and having bonfires in our back yard with a nice cold beer and maybe a cigar if the occasion calls for it. I also love long road-trips and I’m a huge movie buff. I’m pretty much a huge nerd as well but I try to hide that fact. Vivat Jesu!
I’m Jessica Bittner and I’m from Devils Lake, North Dakota. I am the oldest of three and was blessed to be raised in a Catholic home by very faithful parents. Some of my favorite things to do growing up were hanging out at the lake, having bonfires, and dancing. I went to school at the University of North Dakota. There I was very involved at the Catholic Newman Center on campus and had the opportunity to live in a women’s formation house. I graduated in December of 2011 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. I’m so excited to be a part of the New Evangelization at UNC – living the adventure of ordinary life and growing more in love with Jesus together with the students God has placed in my life here 
My name is Dana Sebastian and I grew up in Loveland, CO (so not too far from here). I went to University of Colorado at Boulder and studied Political Science and Ethnic Studies. Last year I served as a missionary at Drake University in Des Moines. I recently got married to my high school sweetheart, Derek Sebastian. And I am very excited to be serving at University of Northern Colorado this year!
