Meet The Missionaries
Hey everyone, my name is Jason Eilers. I’m originally from Freeport, IL. I’m starting up year 7 with FOCUS. I’ve served in MT, ND, IA, and now FL! My wife and I have been married for 3 years now. We’ve got some pretty cute kids- Olivia 2 yrs old, and Leah 8 months. I enjoy basketball, dodgeball, golf, eating meat, playing the drums, and wrestling wild life with my bare hands…jk. I’m excited to meet you all and diving into our mission work at Ave! I’m praying for each one of you.
My name is Kjersti Eilers. I married into FOCUS 3 years back but was involved in FOCUS events/Bible Studies 2 years prior. I always wanted to attend Ave Maria University when I was in High School and am blessed to finally have my chance to be here! I’m a Birth Doula- trained in labor and delivery. I enjoy going for walks, chocolate, babysitters;), and conversation, with coffee ofcourse. I’ve been looking forward to meeting many of you and am praying for you! God Bless.
My name is Jessica Vergara. I was born and raised in Palm Beach County, Florida (specifically Royal Palm Beach). I just recently graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelors in Linguistics. I am a first year missionary and am really excited to be serving you at Ave Maria! For fun I love to sit at the beach, sing, play flag football and watch reruns of “Friends.”
Corinne hails from the beautiful state of ol’ Virginia where she can be frequently found either with a book, with a sewing project, goofing off with her 3 siblings, climbing a mountain, eating frozen yogurt, or drinking tea with a British accent. Graduating from Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina with a degree in English and a minor in Theology, she was known for her love of swing and contra dancing–a hobby which has lately earned her a broken collar bone. At only 5’1 and 1/2″, Corinne is ready to make the long trek to Ave Maria and enter the new chapter of her life as a FOCUS missionary and sunscreen promoter. St. Cecilia, pray for us!
Trey is a second year missionary back for another round of evangelization and discipleship at AMU. He recently married his beautiful bride, Kristin, and they are excited to be teaming up together to set the campus on fire! Trey graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Mechanical Engineering. He enjoys a variety of activities, including (but not limited to) Ultimate Frisbee, beekeeping, Parkour, setting things on fire, reading, playing trumpet (and other instruments), using power tools, and playing the epic board game Settlers of Catan.
Kristin is excited to be making her evangelization debut this year as a FOCUS Affiliate Missionary. She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she fell in love with her most handsome husband, Trey. Kristin loves dancing, “crafternoons”, shopping, singing (especially Gregorian chant), baking, and reading. Trey and Kristin live in La Piazza where they frequently cook up delicious Cajun foods.
